The AS-Line
The NS AS-Line is a secondary mainline running from Salisbury, NC to Morristown, TN. It is part of the Asheville District and is home to the famous Old Fort Loops. As of May 2020, there is no longer any through freight traffic on the AS-Line. There is, however, plenty of local traffic and 2 trains that transverse the loops themselves.
