The R-Line

The NS R-Line is a secondary mainline running from Charlotte, NC to Augusta, GA. It is part of the Columbia District and serves as a major connector between the North and South Carolina markets. Construction is underway on a new wye on the Charlotte end that will allow potential future intermodal traffic to run from Columbia to Charlotte.
